1. Choose a measure

Open Goals & backups and create a goal. Choose from supported measures such as asset value, liability value, equity or net worth.

2. Select the records

Choose all applicable records or a particular selection. For example, use one liability if you want to follow the recorded balance of a particular loan.

3. Enter a target and direction

Set the target you want to track and whether the measure should increase or decrease. The app calculates progress using your recorded values.

4. Keep your records current

Update the underlying values as your circumstances change, then review the goal. Progress history records at most one later point per day.

A goal does not provide a forecast, target date or automatic reminder. It is a way to track a target you have chosen, not a recommendation about which target to choose.

How do I set a net worth goal in a wealth tracker?

Choose net worth as the measure, select the records and enter the target you want to follow. Update the underlying values for progress to remain meaningful.

Can Financial Portfolio predict when I will reach a goal?

No. The documented goal feature tracks recorded progress; it does not forecast a date or recommend a target.

Start with what you have

You do not need every detail on day one. Start with the records that matter most, then build a clearer picture at your own pace.
