What does the liabilities feature do?

Create liability records for what you owe. Record a balance, identify the lender and borrowers, and link a debt to the relevant asset. Depending on your plan and liability type, you can also record interest rates, repayment amounts and frequency, term dates, fees and professional contacts.

The detail behind the view

See the connections behind liabilities.

A loan balance tells only part of the story. We included liability records to keep the lender, borrowers, related asset and terms together, so you can find the detail behind a debt when you need it.

How it works

Start simply. Build as you go.

You bring the information. Financial Portfolio gives it a structure you can come back to.

  1. Choose a liability type and enter its name and current recorded balance.

  2. Link the borrowers and any related asset, then add the lender and available terms.

  3. Attach supporting documents and update the balance from your own statements.

Prepare for a conversation with your broker

Find your recorded balance, lender, loan details and paperwork before discussing your circumstances with your broker.

Keep a shared loan understandable

Link the borrowers and related property to one loan record so you can see how the debt connects to your household.

Good to know before you start

Financial Portfolio does not connect to lender feeds, track repayment transactions, calculate amortisation or compare refinancing options. It records information you provide and does not make payments or give borrowing advice.

Feature availability and record detail depend on your plan.

Can I track my mortgage in Financial Portfolio?

Yes. You can record a loan balance, connect its borrowers and related property, and add the lender and available loan details. Detailed fields depend on your plan.

Can I keep credit card details in my wealth tracker?

Credit card records support an issuer, type, limit, current amount and relevant terms. Keep passwords, PINs and recovery information out of your financial records.

Does Financial Portfolio automatically update loan balances?

No. There is no lender feed or repayment transaction tracking. Update the recorded balance using your own statements.

Will the app calculate repayments or compare home loans?

No. The liability feature is for organising debt records. It does not calculate amortisation schedules, compare refinancing options or provide personalised borrowing advice.

How can I organise debts without another spreadsheet?

Create a record for each liability, enter the balance from your statement, and connect its borrowers and supporting paperwork. Keep the related asset linked where relevant and update the record when your information changes.

Start with what you have
