Create your first portfolio records

Begin with people and entities, then add your first asset and liability.

A couple discussing their household paperwork together

1. Begin with People & Entities

After signing in to the app, start with the people or legal entities relevant to your portfolio. Choose the appropriate type and enter the details you want to record.

The optional quick setup can create starter records for common household items. These records remain editable; check each one before relying on the totals.

2. Add an asset

Open Assets, add a record and choose its type. Give it a clear name, enter a value and connect the relevant owners. Fill in the fields applicable to that asset rather than trying to complete everything at once.

3. Record the related debt

Open Liabilities if the asset has an associated loan. Record the balance and relevant details, then connect the asset and borrowers where appropriate.

4. Check your overview

Return to the dashboard and review the recorded totals. If something looks wrong, inspect the underlying records for missing information or duplicates.

These instructions describe the documented app workflow. Public access is being offered through the waitlist.

How do I add my first asset to Financial Portfolio?

Create the relevant person or entity, open Assets, choose an asset type and enter a recognisable name, value and owner. Check the new record against your statement.

Which record should I add before a jointly owned property?

Add the people or entities involved first. Then connect them to the property and record any related mortgage separately.

Start with what you have

Bring your financial life into focus.

You do not need every detail on day one. Start with the records that matter most, then build a clearer picture at your own pace.
