Add and share a document

Attach a file to the right record and decide who should be able to see it.

Organised folders and documents in a bright home workspace

1. Open the related record

Find the asset, policy, person or other supported record the document belongs to. Uploading in context helps you locate it again later.

2. Choose a supported file

Upload a PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG or PNG file no larger than 10 MB. Give it a useful name and group it if that helps your organisation. Upload availability depends on your storage allowance.

3. Review document sharing

Owners can choose permitted members to receive document access. A viewer must also have access to the relevant section and visible parent record. Giving someone section access alone does not share every file.

4. Keep a copy when needed

Use the document manager to view or download a file you are authorised to access. Review the confirmation carefully before deleting a document; a portfolio restore point does not guarantee recovery of deleted file contents.

How do I add a policy document to Financial Portfolio?

Open the related supported record, upload the current policy file in a supported format and name it clearly. The documented limit is 10 MB per file.

Why can't a viewer see a document I uploaded?

The viewer must have access to the relevant section and visible record, and you must explicitly share that particular file with them.
