Put what you own and owe on the same page.

An asset list without its debts can overstate the picture. This worksheet pairs values and balances with ownership and the date you checked them.

Suggested columns

Record name, type, person/entity, ownership share, value or balance, as-at date, source document, related asset or liability, and next review date. Use separate rows for a property and its mortgage. Enter an item once within the chosen personal or household scope. The worksheet can help you prepare a net worth calculation; Financial Portfolio can later connect the underlying records rather than leaving the relationship in a note cell.

How do I make an asset and liability register?

List each asset and debt separately, identify the owner or borrower and record an as-at date and source. Then review for duplicates.

Should I record a jointly owned property at full value?

Choose a consistent scope first. A household view may use the full value; an individual view may use an attributable share. Match the related debt treatment to that scope.

Can I use this worksheet as a financial portfolio tracker?

Yes, as a basic manual register. A dedicated wealth tracker can add linked owners, documents, policies and viewer permissions.
